Mody Industries an ISO 9001-2008 Company now a part of WPIL Ltd. (A leading pump manufacturer) was founded by late Mr. D.N Mody in the year 1957 with humble beginning as a trading house of various imported pumps and later began manufacturing pumps. We are the leading manufacturer of Submersible Dewatering, Non-Clog Sludge, & Sewage and Non-Submersible Portable Fire Fighting Pump sets used in various applications and have about five decades of experience in these fields.
The Company has ultra-modern manufacturing plant located in Thane, Maharashtra well equipped with all the required machines like CNC Machines, digitally controlled dynamic balancing machines and digital performance testing facility. The Factory with span to around 2,500 Sq. mt. space with around 100 employees involved in Design / Production & Testing. Mody Industries has in-house facilities to wind its own motors, laps its own seals and subcontracts, to have control and maintain highest quality in its product offerings.
The pumps are known for their high reliability, durability and dependability and to ensure that each pumps those roles out of the factory, undergo rigorous inspection by company's own Quality control Department. We strive to offer a pump for every need from drainage to sludge/sewage in the most challenging environments. The quality is checked, verified and acknowledged by renowned inspection agencies like IRS. LLOYDS, RITES, TCE, CQAE, NHPC etc
About UsMody Industries (F.C.) Pvt. Ltd. started its journey during 1952 and introduced submersible pump design in Indian Industry. The Company is incorporated as per Indian Companies Act in 1957.
We are pioneers in the manufacture of Submersible Dewatering, Non-Clog Sludge, Sewage and Non- Submersible Portable Fire Fighting Pumps for use in various applications and have been serving the market since 1957. ( A certificate, attached h/w ). The company is ISO 9001-2000 certified and has ultra-modern manufacturing plant located in Thane, Maharashtra State which is well equipped with all modern machines like CNC Machines, digitally controlled dynamic balancing machines and digital performance testing facility. The company has acquired its brand image due to its quality of products, reliability, unique features and prompt after sales service.
The Company is now a wholly subsidiary of a leading pump manufacturer and global player – M/s. WPIL Ltd.
The pumps and the plant are approved by various leading inspection agencies viz. LRQA, Lloyd Registrar of Shipping, IRS, RITES, L&T, Various Water (Jal) / Sewerage Boards, BARC, NTPC, NHPC, TCE, Inspection Agency of Indian Navy etc.

In order to have better efficient and reliable submersible motor, our pumps are equipped with dry type motor with ‘H’ class insulation. The some of the key salient features of our pumps are -
- Dry Motor Design for higher efficiencies & reliability
- ‘H’ Class Insulation for higher temperature rise protection.
- Built-in Thermistors
- Double Mechanical Seal with option of Moisture Sensors for leakage detection.
- Cable with dual sealing for leakage protection and steel grip
- Provision of current leakage detectors
- Special seal lubrication and pressure balancing system for enhanced seal life
