History of RO

The process followed by us for the complete purification of water that is Reverse Osmosis, is also known as Hyper-Filtration in the market. Under the US government funding, RO was first developed in the year 1950 and today it has became one of the most reliable system for the complete and trustworthy water purification. These RO systems are utilized widely in water bottling plants and many other industries for the sake of getting purified water. Earlier, this RO system was used only for industrial purposes but now people use it for domestic as well as official water purification purposes.

?How it works

Through a semi-permeable membrane of 0.0001 microns water molecules are forced using water pressure. The sandwiched membranes in form of long sheets are rolled around the hollow central tube. For better maintenance of pressure on the surface walls, the membrane is kept in a kind of container. The pressure exerted on the water molecules separates it from the unwanted impurities and pass it through the membrane. Unlike a conventional filtration system, this system automatically diverts the impurities left behind towards the waste drain leaving no chances of impurity building within the system. Hence, it allows the membrane to work for a longer period of time.
