Microfiltration
Microfiltration membranes are capable of retaining particles of about 0.01 microns or larger. Smaller particles (e.g. Salts, Sugars and proteins) pass through the membrane. The operating pressure for microfiltration is usually 0.1 – 1.0 bar.
