Pune based Membrane Filters started its operations in the year 2003 for mass-scale manufacturing and commercialization of membrane-based filtration and purification systems by becoming non-exclusive yet the sole licensee of the membrane technology created at National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India.

Membrane technology that is composed of a chemical solution used to produce the semi permeable membrane a process called polymerization. The innovation lies in the thin film withstanding continuous water pressure and maintaining uniform porosity throughout the membrane. With the help of patented technology Indian as well as US, it is deployed to produce consistent quality of UF- membrane in the state of the art manufacturing facility in their factory.

With the help of this technology & state of the art manufacturing facility, the Company innovates unique products through product engineering & product integration to produce the most cost effective water filter that is ideal for handling water generally less than 500 TDS or the surface water. For TDS > 500 Company is also offering solutions of UF Membrane followed by Reverse Osmosis as and when required.

In addition to this the Company is constantly working to develop other polymers that will widen its horizon of application

Besides domestic, hundreds of Institutional applications in Schools, Colleges, Churches, civil hospitals, health centers, and community, Gardens, Hostel, Gompha, Jail and Govt. Offices

Our recent updates on Drinking Water front are:

• Field trials carried out by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India by taking those units to various interior of our country from East to West & North to South in 22 states.
• Over 540 nos. of water filters installed for the community benefit in North-East States such as Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland
• Over 400 nos. of systems are installed under the quality improvement program in each of the affiliated colleges of Pune University
• Systems with large size of 5000 LPH and above have been deployed
• 500 nos of mini water plants in the State of Bihar for removal of dissolved Iron from ground water followed by UF membrane to make water potable

While in the areas of Municipal Sewage plants trial runs are being executed in Noida and in Pune for making municipal sewage safe for human contacts & Laboratory trials on for many other applications
